Meet Tom

The hands behind every piece — Wisconsin woodworker Tom Parham at Tommy’s Woodworking

Born and Raised: A Wisconsin Woodworker Story

Tom is a Wisconsin native through and through — a true Wisconsin woodworker with roots as deep as the hardwood he works with. He spent the better part of his career operating heavy machinery — the kind of work that demands precision, patience, and a deep respect for what your hands can accomplish. After decades on the job, retirement gave him something he had always wanted: more time in the workshop.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into something much more. Tom discovered that the same focus and craftsmanship he brought to heavy equipment translated naturally to woodworking. He began building pieces for family and friends — planters, Adirondack chairs, cutting boards, holiday decorations — and word spread fast.

In 2008, Tommy’s Woodworking was born. Every piece Tom builds is made by hand, right here in Wisconsin, using quality materials and old-fashioned attention to detail. No assembly lines. No shortcuts. Just honest craftsmanship and a genuine love for the work. Learn more about woodworking techniques and inspiration at Wood Magazine.

The Wisconsin Woodworker Philosophy

Tom believes that the best things in life are built to last. Here is what guides every piece that comes out of the shop.

Quality Materials

Tom selects every board himself, choosing wood that will hold up season after season — whether it is sitting on a porch in a Wisconsin winter or soaking up summer sun.

Handcrafted Every Time

No two pieces are exactly alike. Tom builds everything himself, by hand, giving each item the individual care and attention that mass-produced furniture simply cannot match.

Built Around You

Have a specific idea in mind? Tom loves a good challenge. Custom orders are a big part of what makes this work so rewarding — turning someone’s vision into something real.
